Labradorite is a natural gemstone belonging to the plagioclase feldspar family. Its most distinctive quality is a shimmering play of blue and violet light called labradorescence. This optical phenomenon arises from ultra-thin crystal layers — known as lamellar structures — inside the stone, where light enters, reflects, and interferes to produce that unmistakable inner glow.
