About Opal
Opal is a natural stone of silica and water. Tiny silica spheres scatter the light, creating the rainbow shimmer known as play-of-color. This opal is undyed and unheated, Mohs hardness 5.5–6.5. Each stone plays its color differently — no two are alike. A stone of "creativity" and "hope," from Ethiopia.

SMUK uses four types of plating finishes, selected according to the materials and intended use of each piece of jewelry.
- Rhodium Plating
A finish made with a rare precious metal from the platinum group. It offers excellent resistance to tarnishing and scratches, with a clear, bright silver tone. Suitable for those with sensitive skin. - 18K Gold Plating
A finish made by coating sterling silver with 75% pure gold. It creates a rich, warm gold tone. - 14K White Gold Plating
