Moonstone is a natural stone belonging to the feldspar group. As light enters its layered structure, a bluish glow shimmers from within like moonlight—the stone’s defining “schiller” (adularescence). The floating light shifts moment by moment with the angle of view and the direction of the light.
Long cherished as a “stone that holds the power of the moon,” moonstone symbolizes good fortune, love, and intuition. It’s said to heighten the wearer’s sensitivity and gently encourage a new step forward. It is June’s birthstone, and a stone associated with Cancer.
Materials & Finish
The thin and thick chains use different clasp sizes. Each uses a spring-ring clasp sized to the weight of its chain, and both are Italian sterling silver 925.

At SMUK, we use four types of plating finishes, each selected to suit the design and materials of the piece.
Rhodium Plating — A rare platinum-group metal. Tarnish and scratch resistant, with a bright, clear silver tone. Gentle on sensitive skin.
18K Gold Plating — 75% fine gold over sterling silver. Warm, deep gold color that flatters all skin tones.
14K White Gold Plating — 58.3% fine gold with a soft, cool white tone. Pairs beautifully with pearls and delicate designs.
Gold Vermeil — Sterling silver (925) base with a gold layer 2.5+ microns thick. More durable than standard plating with a longer-lasting shine.
