Morganite is a variety of beryl — the same mineral family as emerald and aquamarine — colored a soft pink to peach by traces of manganese. Mohs hardness 7.5–8. It was named by Tiffany's gemologist after the collector J.P. Morgan.
Most morganite on the market is heated to adjust its color, but SMUK's morganite is unheated — delivering the soft, natural pink exactly as the stone holds it.
