About Kyanite
Kyanite takes its name from the Greek word for "blue," after the clear, sapphire-like blue it is prized for. It has a rare quality: its hardness changes with the direction of the crystal, which is why it is known as a difficult stone to cut. This kyanite is unheated — its natural blue is delivered exactly as the stone formed it, with no heat treatment to adjust the color.

SMUK uses four types of plating finishes, selected according to the materials and intended use of each piece of jewelry.
- Rhodium Plating
A finish made with a rare precious metal from the platinum group. It offers excellent resistance to tarnishing and scratches, with a clear, bright silver tone. Suitable for those with sensitive skin. - 18K Gold Plating
A finish made by coating sterling silver with 75% pure gold. It creates a rich, warm gold tone. - 14K White Gold Plating
