SMUK is a Tokyo-based sustainable jewellery brand built on the principles of “Less trash, more marine life” and “Safe Wildlife.”

Our creations are primarily crafted from 925 sterling silver, beautifully finished with rhodium or 14K/18K gold plating, and we also offer solid 14K gold pieces.

Every design is made with care for metal-sensitive skin and features natural gemstones such as opal and aquamarine, adding a refined brilliance to everyday life.

The Choice of Silver 925 — Jewelry that Lives with the Power of Nature

Silver is a beautiful metal, but it easily reacts with elements in the air, which can cause tarnishing or darkening over time.

To prevent this and to enhance its surface with an elegant platinum-like white shine, white gold plating (coating) is applied.

Pure silver has a Mohs hardness of only 2.5 to 3, meaning it’s relatively soft. By adding a surface coating, the jewelry becomes more resistant to scratches and daily wear.
