Pure Silver (Sterling Silver 925)

At SMUK, we use sterling silver (925 silver) as the foundation of all our jewelry. Known for its soft, elegant luster and skin-friendly nature, it is a popular choice for everyday wear. Its timeless simplicity and hypoallergenic properties make it perfect for daily elegance.

Solid Gold (14K / 18K)

For selected collections, we use solid 14K or 18K gold. These materials offer lasting beauty and exceptional durability. With their rich glow and timeless value, they’re perfect for meaningful gifts or cherished pieces for yourself.

Silver is a beautiful metal, but it easily reacts with elements in the air, which can cause tarnishing or darkening over time.

To prevent this and to enhance its surface with an elegant platinum-like white shine, white gold plating (coating) is applied.

Pure silver has a Mohs hardness of only 2.5 to 3, meaning it’s relatively soft. By adding a surface coating, the jewelry becomes more resistant to scratches and daily wear.

At the same time, the coating helps prevent sulfur-based tarnishing, allowing the silver to maintain its bright and refined luster for longer.

with a coating thickness of 2 microns.

This ensures a long-lasting, luxurious finish suitable for everyday use.
